Baby Room Organization Ideas – Nursery Storage Hacks
When my best friend had her baby boy a couple years ago, I helped her with getting the nursery set up and getting everything ready for baby’s arrival.
While we were going through all of the most recommended items for baby rooms and must-have newborn baby product lists we realized that there was no way all of this stuff would stay neat and organized with the small amount of space we were working with.
So we searched Pinterest up and down for some affordable baby room organization projects and this is what we found. I hope this is as helpful for you as it was for us!
Another super amazing way to prepare for baby is to get some freezer meals ready – check out these Casseroles That Freeze Well to get some ideas on what you should make before baby comes!
→If I could only recommend one baby product to you – it would be this diaper caddy!
I have tried similar ones and they did not hold up the way this one did and they definitely didn’t store as much as this one does! It is great for keeping all of the necessary items together when you are moving from room to room during those first few weeks with a newborn. My mom bought one for me the day I came home from the hospital and let me tell you… it was a total game changer!

Nursery Dresser Drawer Organization Ideas
Use drawer dividers or small baskets to keep dresser and changing table drawers and shelves organized. This will make it a breeze to find what you are looking for so you can skip the whole ‘rambling aimlessly through every drawer’ to find what you need. And you can also skip the huge mess!

Swaddle Blanket Storage Ideas
If you have ever used a swaddle blanket you know that these are absolutely necessary to have!
They can’t even be compared to regular receiving blankets! If you have ever tried to swaddle a baby in a regular receiving blanket (that didn’t come from the hospital) you know that it’s pretty difficult to say the least.. If baby even so much as blinks the whole swaddle will come undone. With swaddle blankets – that’s not the case! I even like them better than the swaddle wraps that have velcro. Babies sleep so much better when they are swaddled tight – so if you don’t have any swaddle blankets – you should look into it! They were a game changer for me and almost everyone else I know!
These kind are my absolute favorite and they come in super cute designs!
You will always want these swaddle blankets somewhere that is easy to get to and why not show them off since they are so cute! Trust me – you will not want to stuff these things in a drawer!
Baby Shoes Storage
Organizing baby shoes can be a challenge with their tiny size and abundance, but with the right storage solutions, it’s easy to keep them neat and accessible. Use bins, baskets, or drawer dividers to keep shoes paired and easy to grab. Hanging organizers or wall hooks are great space-savers, especially in smaller rooms.
Baby Clothes Storage By Size
Keeping the clothes that don’t currently fit organized is a must for making sure your nursery stays clutter-free. I love the idea of having a laundry basket in the closet labeled for outgrown clothes so you can just toss them in there and grab something else instead of having to put it back away.
And being able to pull out a bin with the next size up is so easy when they are all in one place and labeled. Being a parent is hard work – so the little things that make life just a bit simpler helps so much!
Baby Closet Organization Ideas
Organizing a baby closet is essential for keeping everything in order and making it easy to find what you need. Start by grouping clothes by size and season to ensure they’re always ready when needed. Use hanging organizers or shelves for shoes, hats, and other accessories, while bins or baskets work well for storing toys or extra blankets. Adding dividers or labels can help keep things tidy and easily accessible, making the closet a functional space for both parents and baby.
Pacifier Storage Ideas
Baby pacifier storage is essential for keeping these tiny little things clean and easily accessible. Use small containers or a wall hanging solution to store pacifiers and keep them from getting lost or dirty. I can’t stand having passy’s all over the house. I need to knw where they are and that they are clean.
Baby Bib Storage Ideas
Bibs are an amazing things for saving your baby’s cute little outfits. But the key is to have them accessible and easy to grab. If you have to go too far to get them or spend any amount of time looking for them, you probably won’t use them.

Changing Table Organization
Baby changing table organization is all about having essentials within arm’s reach while keeping the space clutter-free. Use baskets, bins, or drawer dividers to store diapers, wipes, creams, and lotions, making them easy to grab during diaper changes. Consider adding a small shelf or hooks for extra items like a diaper bag or changing pads.
Keeping everything organized and accessible will make diaper duty smoother and more efficient, while creating a tidy, functional space for both parent and baby.
I personally love having a rolling cart next to the changing table, because I can take it anywhere in the house with me if I need to. This is absolutely essential for the newborn stage!
