Most people don’t think of giving their laundry room a makeover. Just take a second to think about how often you are in your laundry room. A lot, right?! Make it functional and give it a little bit of love! It’ll make the time spent doing laundry more bearable.
Quick tips for your small laundry space:
- Take advantage of empty wall space to add shelving and decor
- Remove those annoying laundry closet doors – leave them off or add a curtain if you like it closed off
- Add lighting or lamps to brighten up the room
- Lift your front loading washer and dryer to add storage space
- Use baskets and containers for your detergent/dryer sheets
- Utilize the area between your washer and dryer for extra space-saving storage
- Paint!
I have this storage rack on my wall now and it comes in extremely handy for dryer sheets, cleaning supplies etc.

This is a perfect example of utilizing the wall space. They added a small shelf above the washer and dryer for more storage space and gave it a “homey” feel with the lighting and decor. They also added a tension rod in between the cabinets and the wall for a drying rack!
This laundry room is to die for! Rustic farmhouse style is my favorite! They nailed it from the reclaimed wood cabinets to the amazing decor added all throughout the laundry area!
The color they chose for this laundry room is downright flawless – it makes this small laundry room look bigger! The shelving and cabinet in between the washer and dryer is a very efficient option for storage and organization!
This is a really good idea! It gives a more organized look to the laundry room. I only use liquid so I think it would be neat to use drink dispensers for the liquid detergent and fabric softener.
Now, THIS is genius! A lot of us don’t have that much room in between the washer and dryer – so this storage tower would be perfect! I will be ordering one today!
I love this idea! The open cabinets make for easy reach for all items, the labeled baskets give it a little pop and the rail is a great idea for quick hang up after ironing! This is the best way to add a lot of storage into a tiny space!
This is a really great idea for adding more room and storage to a “laundry closet”! I would have never thought to wrap the shelves around like that!
AND – Last but not least… This lint bin is super cute and an awesome space saver! I think everyone needs one of these!
